What is lapbooking?
A lapbook is a book or file which is creatively compiled to display a child's research, studies, material and other work related to a topic. It is a great way for a child to explore a topic with the learning process well-documented, and also provides an easy, beautiful way to review and revise.
Unlike the Experiential learning class for Juniors, which explores topics in depth, our Lapbooking classes expose learners to a wide range of topics and skills, enabling them to discover their interests and fortes. The systematic way of planning, researching, compiling and reflecting also helps in developing the learning habits required in Primary School education.
Who is this programme designed for?
For 3-6 year olds who are ready to explore a wide variety of subjects and topics.
How can this programme benefit my child?
As this programme cover topics in a wide breadth, the pace is slightly faster and there is alot of content to process, it is suitable for learners with a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy and wishes to pursue learning opportunities beyond the scope covered in schools.
The lapbook will also prove effective as a revision medium as being made by the child himself, memories are reconciled quicker.
Once mastered, lapbooking can also aid a learner's learning up till the tertiary level.
